| Ayin Nothingness Meditation |
| Through the practice of Ayin meditation (Ayin is Hebrew for “no-thing”), we experience the paradox of being empty in order to be filled, being silent in order to hear, being still in order to move. In this class, students will experience a different Jewish meditation technique each week, learning progressively how to let go of the “some-things” of life, how to be fully present to the divine, and how to discover the true inner nature and holiness within. Meditations are shaped around teachings from Hebrew scripture and other Jewish sources, including the Breath of Life, Jacob’s Ladder, the Burning Bush, and the Still, Small Voice. Instructor Stephanie Tiv’ona Reith practiced Buddhist meditation for 20 years, in addition to her Jewish meditation practice. |
